With our war memorial in full view for all to see, we proudly stood together today in honour of Remembrance, to hold silence and turn our thoughts towards those who have fallen, our courageous Armed Forces, those who have come home and their families. We marked this with the two-minute silence which followed a sort student reading.

After lunch, the students delivered a poignant assembly around the theme of 'Coming Home', to help encourage the School community to reflect on the people who have fought for our country in warzones and then returned home, how they must feel and how they fit back into what we may consider a 'normal' life. The students were keen to volunteer their time and delivered effective musical, spoken and drama pieces, making the assembly thought-provoking and powerful.

For 80 years, Remembrance Day has stood as a solemn tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the Armed Forces in defending our freedom. The red poppy remains a powerful symbol of hope for lasting peace. At Pipers, we honour this tradition and proudly support the Royal British Legion through our fundraising efforts. Lest we forget.
