Visit Pipers | Pipers Corner School

Visit Pipers

There is no better way to experience Pipers Corner School than by visiting us in person and we cannot wait to welcome you.

With two whole school Open Mornings (October and Spring), individual family tours most weekday mornings and a series of experiential events and informative parent sessions, we are always striving to support our prospective families as they explore options for their child's education, consider whether Pipers could be the right fit for them and explore what it means to be part of the Pipers community.

Our newly launched Summer Term Taster Sessions are an early‑evening, immersive experience designed especially for curious Year 5 (Age 9+) students who want a genuine taste of learning at Pipers.

Through hands‑on, specialist teacher‑led sessions in real classrooms, children are invited to explore, create and think in one of their favourite subject areas, choosing from English, Biology, Dance and Drama, Food Science and Nutrition, Textiles and Design Technology.

Taking place on Thursday 21 May 2026, between 1630 and 1900 hours, this event will offer a fantastic starting point for students who will be going through the Year 7 2027 admissions process with us in the Autumn Term. Meet Pipers staff, learn in Pipers classrooms and enjoy Pipers Food for tea!

To book a place for this event, please use the booking form below. Please note that although students will participate in only one subject session,  we ask you to please indicate their top three preferences in the event that some sessions do not meet the minimum required numbers.

Nestled in our 96 acres, we are incredibly lucky to have a dedicated Woodland area in which our wilderness experts deliver our Forest School curriculum to all students from Reception to Year 6.

Each year, we take great pleasure in being able to welcome the local community and prospective families to experience this wild and almost magical space and engage in some of the outdoor learning activities that our own students hugely benefit from throughout their time at Pipers.

In Summer 2026, we are delighted to be running a Forest School Afternoon on Thursday 4 June, between 1630 and 1800 hours, which is open to any student aged 3-10 years old (Pre-School to current Year 5).

Individual tours are available most mornings during the working week at scheduled times, to coincide with independent study periods of our Sixth Form Tour Guides. Visiting the School on a one-to-one basis enables families to get a real feel for the school environment and sample the atmosphere for themselves.

As an all-through-School, not only do you get the chance to visit the part of the School most relevant to your daughter at the point of entry, but you will also get to see the areas of the School which your daughter will grow into.

Subject to availability, some of our tours can be accompanied by a meeting with the Headmistress. Priority is given to those families considering the upcoming academic year of entry. Please speak to the Admissions Team for more information.

If you would like to book an appointment, please contact the Admissions Team, via [email protected] or 01494 719843

Previous Conversation & Coffee Events:

Understanding the Academic Journey

Led by our Deputy Head (Academic), Mrs Derbyshire, this talk offered parents a valuable insight into the nature of secondary education and the approach of Pipers in ensuring that each student reaches their unique potential.

Individual Learning & Neurodiversity in School

Led by our own Educational Psychologist, and Head of Individual Learning, Ms Britnell, this event discussed the ways in which the Individual Learning provision at Pipers is seamlessly integrated into everyday school life and shed light on the many ways in which we support each and every student to achieve their learning potential.

Student Wellbeing at Pipers

With a panel of key pastoral staff members, including our Deputy Head (Pastoral), Head of Wellbeing, a Head of Year and a Form Tutor, this event offered a fantastic insight into the holistic and integrated approach to student wellbeing that we take at Pipers and our commitment to creating an environment and support system in which every student can grow and thrive. The panel shared a wealth of information that answered many of the common pastoral concerns that we hear from parents and attendees had the opportunity to ask their own questions of the panel.

Every November, we open up our doors to our own Years 10 and 11 students, as well as to those families who might be considering joining our incredible Sixth Form.

At this event, families will have the opportunity to hear from our Academic Deputy Head and Sixth Form Leadership Team, including our Senior Prefects, and explore more than 25 A Level subjects that are on offer to our Sixth Form students.

The application process for Sixth Form entry (including Scholarships) will open after this event and the deadline for 2026 entry is Monday 19 January.

The date for our 2026 Sixth Form Open Evening will be announced in September.
