Before our half-term holiday, we were proud to have had our Sixth Form students invited to perform for the 'Forget-Me-Nots Club' in Prestwood, a club that has been running since 1961.

In this monthly meet up for over 60s in the local community, members get together for an afternoon tea and some form of entertainment, such as bingo or a quiz. Our students were this month's entertainment, providing a musical set with classics such as 'Mamma Mia' and 'Valerie'.

Our students sang for around half an hour, then handed out some gifts to club members who had a birthday in the last month and then stayed for tea and cake and to talk to the members.

The Club gave our students a glowing review: "We cannot thank you enough for organising extra help and entertainment for our Club. The afternoon was brilliant and the young ladies were a great success, choosing the right music.”

The members also claimed, "It is the best entertainment we have ever had"

“We really appreciate what you have done and in the words of Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca "I think this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship".

On behalf of the trio, our Head Girl Lily M also said: “IT WAS SO GOOD! We had such a lovely time and all of them loved all the songs (we took some requests) and ended up singing for 30 minutes. We got treated with some tea and cakes”

We look forward to returning in May for another performance.
