Enrichment Whole School

After each Half-term break, we like to take a moment to celebrate the accomplishments of our talented and dedicated Students outside of the classroom. From sporting bests to creative triumphs our Students continue to achieve personal goals and explore their passions when they are not in School, here are some of the wonderful stories shared by our Pipers families:

Dance Festival Medal Winners | Orlaith and Livia W took part in the Didcot Dance Festival over Half-term. Orlaith was awarded the Silver medal for her Lyrical dance performance and Livia won gold for her Contemporary performance. Well done to these talented sisters!

Cheerleading Champions | Lauren B and Sadie C took part in a nation-wide Cheerleading event where their club Chiltern Cheeta’s walked away with a plethora of Gold and Silver medals. Sadie’s Level One team were placed First, and Lauren’s Level Three team were placed Second in their category with a bid for the Championships! Well done.

Netball Player Recognition | Megan S, Year 9, was awarded “Most Valued Player” for the High Wycombe District Junior Netball League for the Winter 2023/24 Season. She plays Goal Shooter for the Netforce team, and must be incredibly proud of this recognition!

Tap Dancing all the way to a Distinction | Brooke D, Year 3, passed her grade 1 Tap Exam with a Distinction! We look forward to seeing Brooke’s passion and enthusiasm for Tap Dance flourish through the further grades.

PADI Certification for Young Diver | Year 6 Student Lexi B, completed her PADI certification and can now Scuba Dive anywhere in the world (accompanied by an instructor until she is old enough to go solo). Lexi has been a diving enthusiast since she was very young and is thrilled to now have the qualification – the process for which involved swimming with some rather large sharks!

More Swimming Success! | Our Prep and Senior students were busy in the pool over Half-term. Bringing home 8 medals at the Wycombe District Swimming Club gala between them, alongside some very satisfying Personal Bests. Well done to all the team.

Published Writer | Year 8 Anjika G took part in a 100 word story writing programme for Young Writers under the theme of “Glitch” – she is looking forward to seeing her work published in April 2024. The Young Writers programme is a great way to introduce Students to writing for an audience and prepares them well for accredited competitions later.

Year 11 Footballer signed by Watford FC Academy | Abby R’s football success continues this Half-term as she was asked to trial at Watford FC Academy for the U16s as Goal Keeper. She was signed immediately and will be making her Watford FC debut this Saturday. This is an exceptional achievement and we look forward to catching up with Abby after the weekend to bring you more news of her sporting success.
