Inspiring Perspectives as Acclaimed Photo Journalist returns to Pipers

Today our students in the GCSE years had the extraordinary opportunity to learn from Rick Findler, the award‑winning international photojournalist whose work has taken him to some of the world’s most challenging conflict zones.

Rick’s visit offered our students far more than breathtaking images and compelling stories; it gave them a powerful insight into what it means to pursue truth with courage and integrity. As he spoke about documenting events that shape our world, the girls saw first-hand how one individual—armed with skill, empathy and determination—can make a global impact.

They learned how photographs can give a voice to those who are often unheard, and how storytelling rooted in compassion can change perspectives. Students also gained an understanding of the resilience required to work in high‑pressure environments, and the importance of staying grounded in humanity when witnessing the hardest moments of people’s lives.

Encounters like this don’t just educate—they broaden horizons, spark ambition, and remind our students that their own stories, talents and convictions have the power to shape the future.
