Year 10 Careers

As part of the Careers programme here at Pipers, we were pleased to host representatives from the British Army, who gave our Year 10 students a fascinating introduction into a career in the Armed Forces.

The session began with an engaging and informative presentation from Army military personnel, offering students valuable insights into the wide range of roles and (sometimes surprising) career pathways available. Students then participated in two hours of active team-building activities designed to develop key life skills. With team building being widely recognised as a driver of employability and career growth, we were pleased to see our students learning about how it can strengthen transferable skills that employers value, such as collaboration, trust, communication and active listening.

The spirit and enthusiasm from the students on such a cold day was commendable. We would like to thank Lance Corporal Walker and his team for the time they spent with our ‘recruits’.
