Pre-Prep and Prep Productions

There was magic and fairy dust in the Landau Hall on Wednesday and Thursday evening this week, when Year 6 performed their end of year production of “Peter Pan”. With Indians, mermaids, pirates, lost boys and the crocodile, the story of Wendy, John and Michael Darling in Neverland was beautifully brought to life.

Each and every one of the girls wowed the audience with their wonderful singing, acting and dancing. The fantastic musical numbers included “Never Smile at a Crocodile”, “Following the Leader” and “Walk the Plank”.

Right from the start the characters, including the eternally youthful Peter Pan, Wendy and her brothers, the mischievous Tinkerbell and the dastardly Captain Hook, created a magical atmosphere and completely charmed their audiences.

All the various elements of the production from hair and make-up to costumes and scenery were very impressive and really brought the transitions of the play together, whether that was in the Darling household or aboard the Jolly Rodger.

Head of Prep Drama, Ms Bevan said “This year’s production has been such a delight to direct.  All the girls performed with such enthusiasm and lots of energy right up until the last note and bow of the night. They should be very proud of themselves.”
