We are committed to develop the gifts and talents of all our girls to the full. We encourage a spirit of enquiry so that our girls are inspired to strive for excellence.
We identify A, G & T learners through assessment data and through discussions with individual departments so that individual gifts (e.g. in sports, performing arts) can be fostered and developed.
Our definition of Able, Gifted and Talented is from the Department for Children, Schools and Families:
Children and young people with one or more abilities developed to a level significantly ahead of their year group (or with the potential to develop those abilities).
At Pipers we wish to provide challenge, extension and enrichment across the curriculum. Girls will be identified for specific programmes and/or clubs and outings which aim to explore their areas of interest in depth beyond the classroom.
