Academic Year 11

This year’s exceptional GCSE results at Pipers Corner School have again confirmed the fact that its students have not been in any way adversely impacted by the pandemic despite the entire teaching provision having to move online for two out of the six terms of their GCSE courses.

The results are absolutely in line with several years of previous results, reflecting both the integrity of the process of awarding Teacher Assessed Grades at Pipers but also the efforts of the students themselves to engage with their online learning provision. Having so many staff who have previously worked as examiners at either GCSE or at A Level has also been a distinct advantage when it came to the awarding of grades based on evidence collated only in school.

The Headmistress, Mrs Ness-Gifford commented, I am incredibly proud of all of the students who have shown a level of resilience beyond their years. Their hard work and dedication, over the last two years, much of which has been disrupted by the pandemic, has paid off and I am excited to see their continued growth as they embark upon the A Level courses in September”

As our Year 11 students move forward onto their A Level courses, they are to be congratulated on having demonstrated the approach, skills and resilience which will no doubt lead to considerable further success in the higher stages of their education. We could not be prouder of how they have risen to the challenges of this year.
