Sixth Form Facilities and Resources

The Sixth Form Centre is the bright and welcoming hub for A Level students, and is coveted by our students throughout Senior School. It provides a dynamic and inspirational space for girls to study, collaborate and engage with each other.

The Sixth Form Centre is a hive of activity, where our A Level students gather for year group meetings, or to organise their latest school-wide initiative. The Head of Sixth Form, whose office is located in the Centre, provides pastoral and academic support for students at all points throughout the day.

Key features

  • Large open plan space, with tables and sofas for collaborative work.
  • A separate silent study space for independent work.
  • Kitchenette to make hot drinks and snacks throughout the day.
  • Colour changing LED lights, hammocks and pool table.
  • Access to the balcony, when the weather warms up.

Other resources

Students have access to the Careers Centre, for advice on university applications, future career opportunities and life beyond Pipers.

One of the most exciting additions to life in the Sixth Form, was the launch of Pipers’ own Radio Station. In its own bespoke fully-equipped radio studio, students broadcast live shows every lunchtime, create podcasts and even live simulcast key school events like Sports Day to the school community on and offsite.

Developments don’t stop there, the Sixth Form’s motivation to be involved in creating, designing and publishing a contemporary school magazine, led to the investment in a state-of-the-art film editing suite, with a huge variety of hard and software to support the students natural curiosity as they seek to broaden their skill-set to support them in the lives beyond Pipers.
