The Orchard Pool at Pipers Corner has seen a great deal of action as three of the four Inter-House swimming galas have taken place in the last half term.  Several school records have been broken and all of the girls swum very well. Penn House is currently in the lead winning two of the three galas; the final gala will be towards the middle of June so watch this space for the final result.

The Inter-House competition started at the end of April with the Pre-Prep Department, the traditional swimming races were also interspersed with competitions for collecting ‘sinkers’ from the pool bottom which added another dimension of excitement to the afternoon.

Final Results:

1st Place – MILTON

2nd Place – Penn

3rd Place – Hampden

4th Place – Mandeville

The 15 May saw the Year 7 girls take to the water. Many of the girls swam so well they achieved personal best times in their event. The final results were as follows:

1st Place – PENN

2nd Place – Hampden

3rd Place – Milton

4th Place – Mandeville

The following day the Prep Department took their turn; possibly the noisiest of the galas to date but for good reason as 14 school records were broken! Individual congratulations to Jemima H (Year 3) for two records, Sophie F (Year 3), Molly B (Year 4), Elizabeth F, Daisy H, Lily H (two new records), Phoebe H and Emily F (all Year 5) and Megan G and Phebe H-S (Year 6). The overall results were as follows:

1st Place – PENN

2nd Place – Hampden

3rd Place – Milton

4th Place – Mandeville
