Rehearsals begin for ‘SIX The Musical - TEEN EDITION’: Celebrating Girl Power on Stage

Rehearsals are in full swing for the Pipers production of ‘SIX The Musical - TEEN EDITION.’ This adaptation of Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss' international sensation, ‘SIX’,  has been modified for teenage actors, making it perfect for family audiences. Prepare to embark on a musical journey that remixes five hundred years of historical heartbreak into an electrifying 1 hour concert, celebrating 21st-century girl power.

At its core, ‘SIX’ is all about celebrating the unique talents and individuality of the young girls gracing our stage. This remarkable musical first made waves at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2017, courtesy of the Cambridge University Musical Theatre Society. Following a successful UK tour, it dazzled audiences during a six-week run at London's Arts Theatre in 2018. The current West End production, which premiered in 2019, continues to captivate audiences at the Lyric Theatre. 

And now rehearsals have begun for its Great Kingshill ‘Teen Edition’ premiere! The experience for our Students is already proving to be a memorable one, as cast and crew had the incredible opportunity to receive well wishes and congratulations from Erin Caldwell, who currently plays Jane Seymour in the UK Tour of ‘SIX’. She took to Instagram to share her support for our talented cast. Erin's impressive theatre credits include notable roles such as Veronica Sawyer in "Heathers the Musical" at The Other Palace, Susan in "Pretty Woman the Musical" at The Savoy Theatre, Ava in "Unravelling" at The Union Theatre, Jen in "Twist and Turn" at The Other Palace and Sharon in "Jimmy Mac" at The Gaiety Theatre. We are also excited to announce that we are in the process of arranging workshops with Erin for our students to further enhance their skills and knowledge.

‘SIX The Musical: Teen Edition’ at Pipers promises to uphold the global acclaim earned by the original production, including two Tony Awards in 2022 and five Olivier Award nominations in 2019. With our professional 280-seater Theatre as the backdrop, along with our in-house costume-designer and a dedicated student team of technicians and makeup artists, Pipers is pulling out all the stops to ensure this production becomes an unforgettable experience.
