Yesterday we held our highly anticipated Sports Day and it was a truly epic day of sports and House spirit.

We kicked off with our Junior Sports Day and our Pre-Prep and Year 3 and 4 students took part in a variety of events out on the sports field. They particularly enjoyed the Bean Bag Balance, Egg & Spoon race and welly wanging!

Following a morning of field events including Shot Putt, Discus and Long Jump, the afternoon began with a student parade down Jubilee Way and around the field, building up the competitive House spirit that Pipers is known for.

The track events showcased some of the extremely talented athletes here at Pipers, with new event records and personal bests being set. As well as the traditional field and track events, the students also took part in some fun activities, one of which was the Obstacle Relay. This involved space hoppers, bean bags, mini hurdles and hula-hoops and provided plenty of entertainment for both the girls competing and those spectating.

We had a live broadcast on Pipers Radio throughout the afternoon and were delighted to welcome Virgin Radio DJ, Sam Pinkham, alongside our former Deputy Head Girl, Minky, and former Sports Prefect 2020, Hannah, who hosted the show.

The Sports Day Prize Giving will take place next Friday and will be a wonderful way to finish off the School year.
