Our Year 7 students thoroughly enjoyed an adventurous day at Hillingdon Outdoors Activities Centre - a lively water sports and activity centre set in an idyllic rural setting - when they took part in a one day team building course in the bright sunshine.

The session was a great opportunity for the girls to improve their team building skills through an extensive range of outdoor activities as they embarked on a series of challenges. Activities included fencing, caving, low ropes course and the giant swing.

Fencing requires concentration and discipline whilst caving was a chance to embark on an exciting exploration set to challenge the girls individually, as well as requiring them to support each other in order to complete the task. The low ropes course provided individual and team challenges for the whole group, it was a lot of fun and promoted problem solving, leadership and teamwork skills for the girls. Whilst the giant swing was great fun, it was also a test of nerve and decision-making and involves the whole team.

Head of Year 7, Mr Cohen said, "I was hugely impressed by the way the whole year group worked together as a team throughout the day. The girls supported each other to complete the various challenges put before them and it was lovely to see them developing their skills, whilst also forging new friendships and having great fun! What a fabulous start to the academic year."
