Sixth Form Academic

Pipers Corner School is celebrating the achievements of their Sixth Form students today. Two thirds of all results at A Level were at grades A*- B and 63% of the girls in Upper Sixth achieved a top A* or A grade in at least one of their A Level subjects.

Likewise at AS the results for Year 12 girls show a significant improvement with a 100% pass rate and more girls achieving A and B grades than ever before in the school's history.

Our top achievers include:

  • Georgia Moir who has accepted a place at the University of Nottingham to study Mathematics and Economics after receiving an A* in Mathematics and two A grades in Further Mathematics and Religious Studies.
  • Elisabetta Cavallo who achieved an A* in History and two A grades in French and Spanish. She will be going to Durham University to study Modern Languages and Cultures (with a year abroad).
  • Lizzie Bramall who, after achieving three A grades in English Literature, History and Religious Studies, will be going to the University of Nottingham to study Law.
  • Scarlett Cherriman who achieved A* grades in Mathematics and Business Studies and an A grade in Further Mathematics. She will be going to the University of Bath to study Economics and Mathematics.

Pipers' girls have successfully gained places at some of the country’s top universities including the University of Exeter, University of Sheffield, University of Birmingham, Newcastle University, University of Bath and Loughborough University to study a diverse range of subjects including Law, Mathematics, Modern Languages, Economics, Criminology, Motorsport Engineering, Theatre Studies, Art and Textiles.

Headmistress, Mrs Helen Ness-Gifford said, “I am delighted that once again our Upper Sixth girls have demonstrated just what can be achieved through hard work and dedication. I am very proud that the education we are able to provide in our Sixth Form, along with our wide and challenging enrichment curriculum, has equipped our leavers with the knowledge, grades and life skills they need to go on to study a huge breadth of subjects at respected Higher Education Institutions. I wish them all the very best as they move on to the next phase of their education.”
