Extra-curricular Activities

Our diverse and evolving range of extra-curricular clubs and activities provides every opportunity for Pipers' girls to broaden their horizons and develop new skills.

All girls are encouraged to follow a healthy and active lifestyle. Girls have opportunities to participate in a range of team sports and, if they choose to, an energetic programme of competitive sports fixtures.

From gym to technology there are lots of clubs taking place at lunch time and after school for Senior School girls to join. Some examples of current clubs are:

For girls involved in sports, Pipers participates in a busy fixture list against other Schools.

School trips

Girls can take part in school visits to places of interest both at home and abroad. It is by taking the girls out into the world that we can open them up to new possibilities and experiences which are essential both academically and personally. Some trips are specific to Sixth Form, where as some trips are open to the Senior School and Sixth Form take on a key role in assisting with the organisation of these.

Recent trips have included:

  • World Challenge to Ecuador
  • Geography trip to Iceland
  • English Literature Bronte trip to Haworth
  • French trip to Paris
  • Music trip to Barcelona
  • Ski trip to Italy

Many trips run annually or biennially with future trips being planned to Uganda with World Challenge, Prague for Music and Edinburgh for Lacrosse.
