Talented musicians from Pipers Corner School put on a wonderful show at this week's school concert. From the Prep Department right through to Sixth Form all the girls who took part demonstrated fantastic levels of energy and enthusiasm which really shone through in all of their performances.

The culmination of several weeks of rehearsal, the evening provided the girls with the opportunity to display their musical skills to their family and friends in the full capacity audience. A variety of pieces were included, covering all genres of music. From the Prep Orchestra's performance of Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik", to Consort's version of John Lennon's "Imagine" and UII's entertaining "Hound Dog" by Elvis Presley, there really was an eclectic mix on offer.
As well as fantastic ensemble pieces there were also a number of notable solo performances including Evana Wong on piano playing Haydn's "Allegro" and Carissa Sarll-Revett's evocative rendition of "Tango esta Noche" by Lindsey-Clarke on guitar.

Speaking at the end of the evening, Music Director, Mr Lloyd, said "I'm sure you'll agree that it's been a fantastic evening and all the performers have been absolutely brilliant. I really believe that girls making music together is a terribly important part of their education and the things they can gain from it, including confidence from performing, have been in complete evidence tonight. Well done girls."
