From paintings to sculptures, cushions to curtains and quilts to wedding dresses, the wide assortment of pieces included in the exhibition really communicated the depth of artistic skill that can be found at Pipers.
Much of the work on show was coursework created by girls studying for GCSEs and A Levels in Art, Textiles and Design and Technology. As part of this work the girls were required to work to set examination themes including "Links and Connections" (Art AS Level), "Barriers" (GCSE Art) and "Transition" (Textiles A2 Level). In addition other themes reflected in the exhibition included "Textures and Surfaces", "Natural Forms" and "Inside/Outside".
Textiles teacher, Mrs Tebb said, "We are very proud of some excellent work that has been produced this year in the Art and Textile Departments. It has been a fruitful and creative year for the girls because of their own enormous effort and perseverance."
