It has been a "welly" exciting week for Pipers girls as Mandeville House hosted the first ever "Welly Week" with the aim of raising money for their two chosen charities - St Tiggywinkles and An African Dream.
|
A number of fun-filled activities were organised including:
- "welly wanging" competitions for Prep and Senior girls
- the creation of beautiful "welly gardens" with the help of the Pipers grounds staff
|
- the chance to make wellies things of beauty with "decorate a welly" in the Art Department – with a prize for the most beautiful welly.
|
The climax of the week took place on Friday when all the girls were invited to take part in a "wear your wellies to school" day.
|
Competition results
- Senior welly wanging: Jessica Davies with 24 metres
- Junior welly wanging: Louise Andrews with 11.43 metres
- Decorate a welly: Sophie Oliver
The total money raised was £140.83! Well done to Mandeville House for arranging a fantastic week!
