We were delighted to welcome old girl, Tazi Young, back to Pipers last week. Tazi, who left Pipers in 2000, now works as a PE teacher at the Dorothy Stringer School in Brighton. Along with other colleagues she brought girls from her school to compete in a special netball tournament against the Pipers teams.

Girls in Years 7 and 11 took part in three matches between the two schools. It is the third year in a row in which we have been able to stage the tournament. All of the girls played extremely well in their matches showing energy and enthusiasm.

At the end of the tournament we were delighted that the overall winners were Pipers – well done girls! However a great deal of credit goes to the girls from Dorothy Stringer who really made it difficult for our girls.

Pipers PE teacher, Mrs McGonigle said, "It is delight to welcome Tazi back to Pipers for the third year in a row. She was a very enthusiastic PE student herself when I taught her and it is lovely that she is able to bring her girls with her to compete in this very special tournament. We very much look forward to welcoming the staff and girls from Dorothy Stringer back again next year."
