It has been an extremely festive week here at Pipers Corner School. The Pre-Prep girls delighted family and friends at their Christmas Concert on Tuesday afternoon. This was swiftly followed by the Prep Department Concert on Thursday evening. Both events certainly got the audiences in the mood for Christmas.
The Pre-Prep Concert was entitled "The Little Angel" and the girls took the audience on a journey around the world in a search for the perfect place for the birth of Jesus. Taking in various places including Hawaii, America, China, Scotland and Spain the tale ended in the stable in Bethlehem with the Little Angel declaring that there was nowhere more suited for the birth of the son of God. With some beautiful songs it provided a fresh and entertaining take on the traditional nativity story. All the girls performed extremely well and were certainly in good voice as they sang their Christmas songs.

On Thursday night it was the turn of the Prep girls who performed a mixture of drama and musical pieces. There were Form group pieces as well as a number of notable individual performances on piano, saxophone and voice. The evening also included renditions of carols written by our Year 11 girls as part of their GCSE coursework. At the end of the evening the audience all joined in to sing "Ho Ho Holidays" a medley of Christmas favourites before all enjoying a festive mince pie with tea and coffee!

Well done to all the girls and Staff for all their hard work in putting on such fantastic performances and starting off the Christmas season in such an enthusiastic manner!
