The annual Pipers Corner School Christmas Carol Service took place at All Saints' Parish Church, High Wycombe today. With traditional Christmas Carols, readings and musical performances it was a really special opportunity for us to come together as a whole school to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.
Girls from Pre-Prep right through to Sixth Form were all involved in this festive celebration, as were Pipers staff and the many parents who were able to join us. The congregation were treated to performances from various groups including Consort, Senior Vocal Group and Junior Choir. There was also plenty of opportunity for the rest of the girls, teachers, staff and parents to be involved in the singing of well-known carols including "Ding Dong Merrily on High", "It Came Upon the Midnight Clear" and "O Come, all ye Faithful".
With a mixture of biblical and secular readings the service provided a welcome opportunity for reflection in the midst of the often hectic countdown to Christmas.
Headmistress, Mrs Helen Ness-Gifford said, "As we approach the end of term, the Carol Service is an established Christmas highlight for the girls. As one of the few occasions on which it is feasible for us to accommodate all the girls, staff and parents, it really allows us to celebrate and give thanks as we anticipate the wonderful things ahead over the Christmas period and indeed into the New Year."
