Pipers Under 15’s Bring Home the Trophy - 19/03/08

On Wednesday 19 March 2008 the Pipers Under 15 and Senior netball teams took part in the Wycombe District Netball Tournaments, held at Wycombe High School. Both teams competed well in their competitions, resulting in a fantastic first place and trophy win for the Under 15's and well-deserved silver medals for the Seniors.

The Under 15 team played outstanding netball throughout the Tournament and were undefeated, winning all of their matches. The team was thrilled to be presented with the trophy and their gold medals.

Team Captain of the Under 15 team, Bryony Seekins, said "We're really proud of ourselves and pleased that we won. It's been a great season."

The Senior team just missed out on matching the achievement of the Under 15's, taking the runners-up position in the Senior Tournament and earning themselves silver medals. They put on an excellent performance, producing the best netball that they have played all season and losing only one match to Wycombe High School.

Miss Morgan, who was at the Tournament said, "I'm really proud of both teams and what they achieved today. They should be very pleased with themselves and the way they played – it was a real team effort with each girl working hard and playing well. Let's hope this success continues!"

Other Schools competing at the Tournament were Wycombe High, Wye Valley, Sir William Borlaise, Sir William Ramsay, Highcrest, Great Marlow and Wycombe Abbey.
