The Governors are always very conscious of the need to continually seek to improve and develop the facilities at Pipers Corner to ensure that they continue to meet the changing needs of the girls in our care.

Over the last ten years, a number of very significant new developments have been initiated including, the Cottesloe Performing Arts and Technology Centre in 1995 and the Orchard Pool in 2000.

Building for the Future Project
In 2003 the school's "Building for the Future Project" was launched with a view to extending and upgrading all the main classrooms for the Senior School. The first two phases have been completed with the addition of 17 new classrooms for English, Mathematics, Languages and Business Studies, alongside new and improved Science facilities (2004-2006).

The Governors have recently approved Phase 3 of the school's "Building for the Future Project" – the infill between the Cottesloe Centre and the Founders Wing which will bring together all the teaching facilities for Art, Ceramics, Textiles, Design Technology, Food Technology and ICT.

The next phase of this major project is due to start in 2008 and in 2007 we carried out a very complex refurbishment project in preparation. This included a new common room for staff, the refurbishment of the Prep Department and Founders Wing corridors, the redevelopment of two boarding staff flats and the creation of new changing facilities in the Performing Arts Centre. We have also relocated the ICT classroom to very smart but temporary accommodation. We expect to complete Phase 3 in time for occupation in September 2009.

A long list of other developments is now being considered by the Governors to ensure that the benefits in terms of educational and pastoral needs of the girls are correctly planned and prioritised when deciding on future investment in facilities.
