In mid-March 42 excited girls in UIV, along with four members of staff made the trip down to Cornwall to visit the Eden Project where they experienced Rainforest and Mediterranean climates maintained in the imposing biome structures. As well as learning about the many uses of a variety of unusual plants the girls also had the chance to consider the concept of "Fair Trade".
On Tuesday 24 February a group of enthusiastic Pipers Netball players ranging from MIV to U6 travelled up to Coventry to watch one of three International Netball Series matches with England playing Jamaica in the Skydome Arena! Girls were accompanied by staff including Netball Coach Chris Gould.
On a cold and frosty morning in March Pre-Prep girls from Pipers Corner School, along with their teachers, set off for the Chiltern Open Air Museum, all in full Victorian dress in celebration of World Book Day.
This year's Pipers Ski trip took place in Austria. With fantastic snow and well groomed pistes, not to mention excellent après ski activities, the whole group had a wonderful time.
In July 2008 three members of the Upper Sxith went on a special trip to Paris with French teacher Mrs Ashby. Whilst there they visited many of the amazing sights to see in the French capital including: the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and Montmartre. Girls studying AS and A2 Level Art and Textiles had the opportunity to visit Venice at the end of the Summer Term. Once there they were able to experience much of the cultural ambiance of this unique Italian city and visit a range of Galleries, Palaces, Exhibitions and Islands.
In June 58 girls from Pipers were able to visit the spectacular site of Kenilworth Castle in Warwickshire. Kenilworth has links to some major historical figures, most famously Robert Dudley and Queen Elizabeth I.
A group of Pipers girls had the chance to improve their Spanish skills over the half term holidays. Staying with Spanish families and studying at the "Malaga Plus" language school each morning, the girls had plenty of opportunities to get speaking and practising the language.
