Pancake Day was celebrated in style by our Pre-Prep girls as they all enjoyed seeing how pancake batter is made, how pancakes are cooked and then, most importantly, eating them to see what they tasted like!
It was the turn of girls in Year 1 and Year 2 in the morning as they watched Mrs Brudenell making the batter and then cooking pancakes two at a time. Each girl (with the help of Mrs Clare) tossed their own pancake! They then took it in turns to come and eat café style, with a choice of lemon, sugar and syrup to put on.

In the afternoon Reception and Pre-Reception combined to watch the batter preparation and Mrs Lee cooked whilst Mrs Child oversaw the serving and eating.
Mrs Clare, Pre-Prep teacher said, "It was lovely to see the girls so interested in the cooking preparation and being excited when it came to pancake tossing. Everybody enjoyed themselves eating and, in the case of Years 1 and 2, the washing up as well!"
