Pipers Corner School Pre-Prep girls took to the catwalk on the last morning of term as they took part in an Easter bonnet parade in front of their family and friends. As well as wearing the hats that they had each decorated at home, some of the girls also modelled clothes made especially for them by LV (Year 10) Textiles students.

Organised by Melody Lubin (U6) as part of her BTEC Hospitality course, parents were invited to come to school for breakfast before watching the show itself. The girls then showed off their hats one by one by walking down the catwalk. There were some very interesting hats on show including ones decorated with flowers, chocolate Easter eggs, bunnies and even one that had a toy chicken on top!

The outfits made by the LV girls for the Pre-Preps ranged from pinafore dresses, to shorts and t-shirts and also included a dressing gown. Textiles teacher Mrs Tebb said, "The girls' enthusiasm for this project has been tremendous. From choosing fabrics at the knitting and stitching show they visited in October, to designing and making their creations and having them beautifully modelled, it has been a wonderful process for the girls. You can see from their efforts today that they all have a real sense of achievement and pride in their work."

All of the girls looked really lovely and seemed to enjoy their time in the spotlight. It was certainly an enjoyable occasion for the audience and a lovely way to end the Spring Term.
