UV (Year 11) GCSE Catering students at Pipers Corner demonstrated their cake decorating skills last week with a display of their work.
As part of their GCSE course the girls were set a brief to ice a cake with the theme "My life at Pipers". They each took this on board and came up with their own interpretation of what it meant to them. The result was a number of different designs which the girls painstakingly transferred into confectionery as they created their icing masterpieces.
The rest of the school were invited to come and view the cakes and then vote for the one they thought was the most impressive.
The results were as follows:
- 1st place: Eva Leung for her "Daffodil" cake
- 2nd place: Rebecca Myers for "Summer Time"
- 3rd place: Lottie Porter for "Four Seasons"
