The annual Pipers Corner Confirmation Service took place St Michael and All Angels Parish Church in Hughenden on Thursday 19 March. Six girls were confirmed and one was also baptised.
The service itself was presided over by The Rt Revd Doctor Alan Wilson, Area Bishop of Buckingham. It was a joyous occasion during which the girls reflected on everything they had learnt as they made their commitment of faith to God in front of their families and friends.

The day was the culmination of three months of preparation undertaken by the girls. During that time the girls met weekly, after School, for a programme of teaching which was shared between Head of Religious Studies, Mrs Nicola Gledhill and the School Chaplain, Revd Mary Gurr. The sessions were varied and aimed to cover as much as possible of the Christian faith including topics such as "What is God like?", "Why did Jesus Die?" and "The Holy Spirit: living as a Christian".
Following the service the girls, along with their family and friends, returned to School for a celebration tea. The tea was organised by Upper Sixth BTEC Hospitality Management student Jenny Brier, who took charge of ordering the food from the kitchens, preparing the layout of the hall and the organisation of the serving team – a group of GCSE Religious Studies students.

Head of Religious Studies, Mrs Nicola Gledhill said "At Pipers Corner where we recognise the importance of spiritual development, we are delighted that these girls have chosen to publicly declare their faith, as they move on in their own spiritual journey. The Confirmation Service and tea was a lovely occasion with excellent advice and teaching from the Bishop, who spoke about the rules of St Benedict."
