Alexander Ardakov
Wednesday 10 February 2010, 1930 hours

  • Chopin Bicentenary Concert
    A graduate of the Moscow Conservatoire and a prizewinner at the Viotti International competition in Italy, Alexander Ardakov is a renowned pianist who regularly performs with some of the world's leading orchestras.In addition to his performing career he is a Professor of Piano at Trinity College of Music in London.

The Cecilia Ensemble
Friday 19 March 2010, 1930 hours

  • Chamber Music Concert of music associated with the two World Wars.
    The performance will include a presentation from speaker Douglas Radcliffe MBE, who is Secretary of Bomber Command Association. His comments will link the Shostakovich work with the bombing raids on Dresden in World War 2.

The Band of HM Royal Marines Collingwood

  • The Royal Marines Band Service is world renowned for the quality of its music, visual splendour and meticulous attention to detail on parade. The musicians and buglers of the Band Service are also renowned for their versatility on the concert platform where they enjoy a similar reputation, ensuring their continuing popularity with audiences worldwide.

Philip Fowke

  • Piano Recital
    Philip Fowke is one of Britain's most outstanding pianists and distinguished musicians. Recognised as a champion of British music, Philip has toured world-wide and has worked with a variety of renowned orchestras including the London Philharmonic, the Royal Philharmonic and City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestras.
