For the seventh year running, the MFL Department chose The Château de la Baudonnière in Normandy for their stay in France.
30 girls from MIV went to the Château, accompanied by Miss Chorafi, Coach Stone and Miss Kermorgant. They were very pleased that they were much more fortunate than last year as the travel arrangements were not hindered by bad weather this time around!

At the Château, the girls took part in a range of exciting activities. They braved the climbing wall, got muddy on the assault course, honed their fencing skills and impressed in archery.
They also made bread, learnt about cider-making and fed the numerous animals of the Château farm: peacocks, chickens, rabbits and…lamas!

Not only were there some language lessons but all visits and sporting activities were conducted in French. The girls even had to ask in French if they wanted more bread or water at meal times! Miss Kermorgant was particularly impressed by the girls when they went to visit Mont Saint-Michel – the commentary on the trip was delivered entirely in French and the girls were able to understand everything.
On the last day there was a visit the market in Granville, followed by fantastic evening entertainment in the end of trip talent show. On their return Miss Kermorgant said, "It was a hugely successful trip. The girls all seemed to enjoy themselves immensely and it has really helped to develop their French language skills."
