On Wednesday 30 January, UII went on a visit to the Museum at Verulamium.

It was an exciting day for the girls which included a hands-on session during which the girls were able to guess the uses of the different artifacts from areas of Roman life including the kitchen, grooming and dining.

Some girls had the opportunity to dress up as Romans so they learnt about the fashions of the time. The museum staff member taking this session commented on how enthusiastic and knowledgeable the girls were.

After lunch they visited the Hypocaust, where the girls learnt about under floor heating.

All in all it was a super trip, thoroughly enjoyed by girls and staff alike.
