From next week, talented photographer, Emily Tudor (UIV²) will have her work displayed in a central London Gallery after winning a national competition. Emily's entry was chosen as the overall National winner of the 11-14 age category of the Sightsavers International charity's i:click photography contest.

Sightsavers International is a charity which works with partners to eliminate avoidable blindness and promote equality of opportunity for disabled people in the developing world. The i:click 2009 photography competition is an annual competition for 11-18 year olds which aims to raise awareness of global blindness and each year takes on a challenging theme. This year the theme was "body language".

Emily's entry entitled "Happiness" was selected as the winning entry for her age group (11-14) and will be showcased in an exhibition of the regional and national award winners in the Oxo gallery on London's South Bank from 10 December to 10 January.

When Emily was asked what inspired her choice of subject she said, "I chose this photo because I thought it would be unique and original. I also think it looks really effective."

Well done Emily – what a fantastic achievement!
