Christmas came to Pipers this week as the girls in the Prep and Pre-Prep Departments performed in their Christmas Concerts. On Tuesday afternoon The Pre-Prep girls delighted family and friends with their nativity performance. This was followed on Thursday evening by the Prep Department Christmas Concert. Both events thoroughly ensured that the audiences were filled with festive spirit.
The Pre-Prep Concert was entitled "It's a Baby" and the girls told the Christmas story, from the perspective of a weary innkeeper who finds he's in for a sleepless night. With some entertaining songs including "Knock knock", "We've come to see the baby" and "Hallelujah" it was a lovely version of the traditional nativity story. All the girls performed extremely well and were in good voice as they sang their Christmas songs.

On Thursday night it was the turn of the Prep girls who performed a mixture of drama and musical pieces. A mixture of solo and entertaining form group performances the girls particularly impressed with their excellent drama skills. The evening also included performances of carols written by our Year 11 girls as part of their GCSE coursework. At the end of the evening the audience all joined in to sing "Ho Ho Holidays", a medley of Christmas favourites, before all enjoying a festive mince pie with tea and coffee!
