Mandeville House did the double on Friday as they were victorious for the second year running at this year's Sports' Day. There were some fantastic individual efforts as well as impressive all round team performances as all the girls demonstrated an amazing amount of House spirit.

It was a very close competition with the final result dependent on the final few races, which made for an extremely tense conclusion to the afternoon of events.
All the girls from Pre-Prep through to Sixth Form took part by competing in a variety of track and field events. The majority of the girls competed on and around the main track whilst the Pre-Prep girls held their own mini-Olympics in a separate field, with events including throwing the bean bag, three spring jumps and "A trip to Hawaii" team race.

Girls in the Prep and Senior School competed in events including relays, hurdles, long jump, shot put and high jump. As well as putting lots of energy into their events the girls also made a huge amount of noise cheering each other along in their House areas.
In addition to the overall result two girls were rewarded for their fantastic individual efforts. Jessica Davies (LV and Mandeville House) was awarded The Victor Ludorum Cup for achieving first place in Discus, Javelin and 100m and also breaking the school LV Discus record. The runners-up prize went to Holly Barrett (LIV2 and Hampden House) who also achieved 3 first places.
