Q: Where would you find a cowboy from North America, a Flamenco Dancer from Spain, a surfer from Hawaii and a girl sporting a traditional Japanese Kimono?

A: At the Pipers Corner Pre-Prep Department International Day, of course!

All the girls were invited to come to school dressed in clothes from different countries and then had the opportunity to take part in a number of international themed activities throughout the day, which began with the girls in Pre-Prep 2 saying "Hello" in 14 different languages!

During the day the girls made South Pacific jelly fish from coloured paper and sparkles and created Chilean rain sticks using cardboard tubes and seeds. They also enjoyed the chance to sample cheeses from Holland, America and England with some French bread and had great fun making Italian fans from coloured card and doilies, which they decorated with felt tips and sequins.

With International food at snack time (Tortilla chips from Mexico, mini poppadoms from India and pretzels from Israel) and American Burgers for lunch even break times were cosmopolitan.

The day culminated in a parade where the girls were able to show off their outfits, followed by Music and stories from around the world.
