Preston Parrot was on a mission to save his animal friends from the greatest flood in history on Thursday evening as the girls in UIII (Year 6) presented the musical "Splash" by Craig Hawes to an audience of family and friends.
"Splash" is a comedy musical based around the story of Noah's Ark and all the girls enjoyed getting into their animal characters including some Australian Kangaroos, Scottish Seagulls and a love-sick French Cat. The story centres around Preston the Parrot who resorts to deception when his friends don't believe that the flood is coming and he has to trick them into getting onboard the ark so that he can lead them to safety.
Once on board the friends experience a party, sea sickness and storms and even an encounter with the dastardly "pie-rats" out to steal all the food on the ark. With songs including "Life is a Magical Journey", "Everybody Monkey Around" and "When a Rainbow fills the Sky", the characters journey through the high seas until the storms abate and dry land is found once again.

Drama teacher Mrs Halton who directed UIII said, "All of the girls really enjoyed taking part this year and it has been a joy to see them grow into their parts and really immerse themselves in their characters. I am extremely proud of them and all their efforts – it really was a fantastic performance."
