On Wednesday girls in the Prep Department joined over 130,000 children in different venues throughout the UK to take part in the Sign2Sing World Record breaking attempt to sing and sign simultaneously to a specially composed sign2sing song.
The event was organised by SignHealth, a national charity, dedicated to improving healthcare and achieving equal access for deaf people. The idea behind "Sign2Sing" is to teach children a new and valuable skill as well as raising awareness of Deaf issues. They also hoped to raise much needed funds through the event to enable them to continue their valuable work.

Pipers girls raised £71.73 for SignHealth and Music teacher Miss Eastmond said, "We had a fantastic afternoon taking part in Sign2Sing and it was been a great learning opportunity for the girls. To sing and sign with so many other people in the Stoke Mandeville Stadium was an amazing experience and they all thoroughly enjoyed themselves."
There is no official word as yet as to whether the current record was broken but we will update this article as soon as we find out!
