Congratulations to Year 5 pupil Arwen R who, following her performance in trials, has been asked to join the pool of gymnasts for the Eastern Region Gymnastics Squad, which covers the counties of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.

Arwen (9) has been doing gymnastics since she was four years old and follows a busy daily schedule in order to ensure that she is able to compete to a high level. A typical day for her runs as follows:
- 7.00am – get up - homework/breakfast
- 8.00am – go to school
- 3.15pm – leave school to go to the gym
- 4.00-8.00pm – training in the gym
- 8.45pm – arrive back home and wind down
- 9.30pm – Bed time
Not many girls show such dedication to a sport at such a young age but Arwen says she loves being able to train and finds it all great fun. We wish her every success in future competitions!
