Boarders at Pipers Corner School discovered that it can be fun in the forest recently as they took part in an adventure day in the woodland on the school grounds. Forest School is a new initiative being run at Pipers Corner within the Pre-Prep Department and the Boarders decided that they wanted to know what it was all about.
Miss Easterbrook, Forest School Co-ordinator and Junior Housemistress led the day which was packed full of activities. The girls made mud animals, built fires, made dens and rounded it all off with marshmallows and hot chocolate around the camp fire.
Below are some of the comments from the girls following about the experience:
"The best bit was probably making the den, it was really cool and just big enough for two to have hot chocolate in. I can't wait to do it again." Bethan T (Year 8)
"I made a dog out of mud and then made den from sticks – it was fun!" Lily W (Year 7)
"I enjoyed forest school – making mud animals and getting the Kelly Kettle ready for the hot chocolate." Sophie R (Year 3)
"Forest School was great – we made awesome dens and it was a really good day." Lauren B (Year 8)
