Year 11 girls at Pipers Corner School are celebrating an impressive set of GCSE results today. This year's results show a higher number of A and A* grades than in previous years and 100% of all girls achieved at least 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C.
The results maintain the growth of recent years with 82% of all results at grade B or above. Particularly pleasing is the fact that 53% of all results in Maths and English were at A* or A grade.
Amongst some notable individual achievements are a number of girls who achieved all A* and A grades including: Kathryn Ashmore, Rachel Hawthorne, Kathryn Higgins, Holly Hills, Megan Hollett, Jessica Moore and Sophie Redgrave. Between them the girls notched up an impressive 36 A*s and 24 As.

In addition to their success at GCSE, Rachel Hawthorne and Jessica Moore also completed AS modules in Mathematics for which they achieved A grades.

Headmistress, Mrs Helen Ness-Gifford said, "It is incredibly rewarding to see girls fulfil their academic potential and this year's results are a true reflection of the dedication and effort the girls, and their teachers, have put into their time at Pipers. I am delighted that as well as the fantastic grades gained by our highest achievers, all girls have performed to the highest standard and should be very proud of themselves as they move onto further study."
